Premier Parking Logistics - Machine Not Working

Hi All
I am the keeper of a car which used a car park managed by PPL. I was not the driver at the time, and can prove i was out of the city. The machine was not working and no other machines available. I have photo and video evidence and have witness statements to also back it up. I had emailed PPL not disclosing the driver but asked them to reverse the charge based on the faulty machine. They refused as i hadn't provided my details or the drivers details. I then received NTK and have ignored this and have now received a letter from their debt collector. I have read the the related parts of the forum and related cases and have been very helpful and thanks to all.
My question is should i send a robustly response highlighting previous cases of the same nature that have been thrown out or court to the debt collector or just sit it out and wait for the LBC and court?
Apologies if this has been answered before, just only found all this information.
Thanks
Mo

+1 If he goes to court (about once a year) it is in his own name. AFAIK he is a sole trader and he rents the land. So contact the council and ask who pays the non-domestic rates on the space. Will clarify this for you. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
