Dishonest Car Salesman

  • Hi Adrian
This is my argument - on No paperwork, or sales document, was it mentioned. I have since been on his OWN website, and also Autotrader (where he also advertises), and on Auto trader, as car he has for sale mentions it is a CA C, but on his OWN website (same car), it DOES NOT!!!!
The buyer who bought it from us, wanted to get in touch with me, and went through gumtree (where I sold it through), and it was on there? which I was baffled about, as I did not FILL that in, apparently it is generated automatically, which sellers or buyers cannot see??!!

Do you want your money? If so then yes you pay out for the warrant because it is the only way that you will get your money. The reality is getting a CCJ means nothing, it does not mean you get your money if the debtor decides they don't want to pay it, merely that the court agree you are owed it. The only way to get your money back is to get a collection warrant and get that enforced and that is going to cost you £77.
Ahhhh thank you Tarambor - I will proceed then, as I believe he is in the wrong, and, should not get away with it.
    Thanks again

So can Dimples claim for the £77 too? I would try if possible.
Sometimes my advice may not be great, but I'm not perfect and I do try my best. Please take this into account.

Sorry, you miss my point. Did it have that line on the V5C that you received in your name from DVLA?

If not, the car was not a Cat C.

Have you actually checked anywhere trustworthy, like HPI?

It's a good job he didn't respond as I can't see you winning so easy.
None the less you need to determine if he's still trading and trading details to determine whether bailiffs will be wasting time and money or not.

Doubt you’ll ever get the money. He’ll just wind up the company and open again the next day in a new name. Or if you turn up with bailiffs he’ll apply to get it set aside and then fight you on the facts and he’s got a strong defence.
