I'm aware the number of entries can vary between 3, 6 and 9 so perhaps I haven't explained myself very well.
The old terms say 3 entries per mobile number online (i.e. free). So if you have 2 mobiles you can enter 2 x 3 = 6 times.
The new terms say 3 times online. So 3 times in total regardless of the number of mobiles you have.
Unless I'm reading it wrong?0 -
3 times per mobile number (including free entries) via SMS
The "free entries" refer to "free SMS entries" in the 3 for 2 offer that Bauer invariably use for text comps. It is not referring to online entries. For this comp your maximum entries are 3 online + 2 SMS paid for + 1 SMS free.Once you’ve sent an entry text, you’ll receive an auto-response confirming your entry. You will then have the chance to text: WIN to 61054, again (at a further cost of £1.50 + standard network rate) and you will be entered 2 more times – your ‘3rd’ entry being free.0 -
Think they mean that, for this competition, Bauer have removed the 'per mobile number' for the free online entries but you've still got it written in the main post.0

I understand now. If "John Smith" has two mobile numbers, he can certainly enter 6 times by SMS (4 paid and 2 free), but can he also enter 6 times online?
I would say go for it - names aren't unique - I'm sure there will be several people named "John Smith" who each enter the comp 3 times. On the other hand "Engelbert Humperdinck" might have a problem unless his son is "Engelbert Humperdinck Jr".
Without the "per mobile number" it isn't technically breaking the rules if two people (eg. you and your partner) enter with the same phone number, but the programming will prevent this as it uses mobile number for checking.0
