Parking at Burton Hospital - Student Nurse

Hi,

Previously we have purchased 4 weekly parking passes, via the paybyphone app, to cover the teaching time at Burton Queens Hospital (managed by Parking Eye).

We had to unexpectedly attend the hospital on Tuesday this week and had forgotten to re-purchase another pass (the previous one ran out on Monday).

We've contacted the hospital to offer to pay, but they refer me to parking eye.

I am fully aware that I need to pay the parking, but it doesn't seem possible.

If I wait until the PCN arrives it will look like I'm only trying to pay because I have received the PCN.

What do people think is the best course of action.

If the hospital won’t accept your day’s parking fee, PE certainly won’t. They’ll want to gouge you for whatever penalty is displayed on their signs. So there is no point in trying to appeal to their ‘better nature’ - they don’t have one.

Just wait to see if they issue a Notice to Keeper (NtK) within 14 days of the parking event. If they do, you tackle it like every other successful challenge we’ve advised on, by starting with the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1.

This won’t be difficult, but it won’t be painting by numbers. You will need to do plenty of reading and research (ahead of the curve is always better) to kill this off - if it happens.

Could ask the Uni and/or the person responsible for training in the hospital to "have a word" with the parking department and explain what went on especially if there are a few of you.
