Salary and bonus question

Hello, I'm looking for some advice.
Some background:
About a year ago I spoke to my boss about the fact that I felt as though I was being underpaid.
He said that with company bonuses and annual profit share I was earning a lot more than I actually thought and he would send me a breakdown of why. Fair enough, so he sent it.
I'm currently on £40,000 annually, but with what he sent me it was broken down as such:
Basic = £40,000
Quarterly Bonuses = £1,100
Annual Profit Share = £4,400
Pension = £2,000
Total = £50,800
My Question:
Looking at my profession online, people are generally earning £45,000+ which I think does not include bonuses and benefits (not sure if salary checkers factor these in).
Am I wrong in thinking that my salary shouldn't be worked out with bonuses included, as these amounts are not actually guaranteed (they are based on a points performance system)?
Or am I just being greedy/ignorant?

Apply for another job and see what they offer you then you will have a true comparison.0

Look at other jobs and see?
Probably a question for the employment board or something as it’s not to do with benefits or tax credits.0 -
If you're looking at wage stats for your sector the information should state somewhere whether or not bonuses etc are included in the figures.0
