Social Media Vs Appeal

Hypothetical situation - PCN for leaving site. Receipts available for visit to store prior to time on PCN for leaving site.

Reading other threads here emphasise importance of not giving away any unnecessary details. Verbal complaint to store manager has not resulted in any action. Would a complaint on social media (eg Facebook/Twitter) risk giving away details of the complainant which could lead to issues/problems with any appeal to the PPC?

Thanks for any advice!

No issues, it's a good idea, just don't say who was driving. Say 'we shopped at your store and we were horrified to be slapped with £100 fine, how dare you allow such a protection racket to affect customers (ex-customers)'...etc.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just to update this, parking ticket was cancelled on appeal to UK Parking Control. Social media didn't achieve anything, retailer held firm that it wasn't anything to do with them, but appeal copied from this website along with receipts from shortly before the time the ticket was issued worked.

Did appeal slightly earlier than recommended on this site as had a major life event due around the ideal time to appeal and was worried it would get forgotten but as ticket was cancelled no obvious negative consequences.

THanks very much to those who wrote the guide on this forum!

Well done, you did it :T

I do not think that social media means very much to PPC's,
It would not make any difference to their business
and they will continue to scam people regardless
    until government stops them

    Hypothetical situation
    So it was real?

Reading other posts there were warnings that parking companies have used internet postings in the past further down the process - I think it's safest for everything to be hypothetical until after the event!

You did well to get this cancelled by using the written resources here without any need for any other inputs from regulars.

When the board is busy, ‘hypotheticals’ can be ignored as often they end up with lots of inputs that get no one anywhere. Often it can be a poster posing questions just because he/she has nothing better to do. It may have been a busy forum day that saw just one reply to your thread?

Anyway - job’s a good one, ticket cancelled! Well done on getting this satisfactorily concluded with minimal input from regulars.
