What is the role? If it's accountancy based, you'll need to fill in a detailed financial disclosure once you've started and they'll ask specifically if you've had any payment arrangements as part of this. The function of this is to determine independence from any clients you might be working on. It's pretty odd that you're dealing with an agency for this though as they usually recruit directly. Agency and support staff can be agency sourced more often.

They don't routinely do actual credit checks on staff, just records checks that show up bankruptcies and IVAs. This is largely to do with hiring a "fit and proper" person that will be eligible for institute membership. I honestly would have suggested telling the agency nothing at all as PwC onboarding checks consist of checking information already provided is accurate. Unless you lied in the past about your financial situation, that wouldn't be a problem for you.

Hope it works out for you.
  • Still waiting currently. I told PWC 2 weeks ago about the incident and was informed that it should be fine and they only do credit checks if something doesn’t add up right with everything else. I also made a note in my pre-employment application when asked about finances etc.

I have just received an email from them today asking further questions, such as the amount owed, if it lead to any further action CCJ etc, if a payment plan is in place, is it satisfied, any how i am financially now.

Praying everything is fine and hope I will get a response back soon!
