Authorised Online Third Party Provider Access

I have been receiving updated T's&C's from all the financial institutions I have dealings with regarding the 'new' third party providers.
You will be able to give permission to certain third party providers (TPPs), authorised by the FCA or other European regulators, to access information and to make payments from current accounts and instant access savings accounts (this doesn’t include cash ISAs, Fixed Term Bonds and Regular eSaver), so long as you can access these accounts through Online and Mobile Banking services
Although I predominantly bank on line (via home PC on a wired connection) I don't trust mobile banking at all, so I will never knowingly allow a TTP access to my accounts.
I like the idea of Open Banking providing quality of service, but not keen on allowing all and sundry access to my personal financial details even if it is only with my permission.
I must be getting old.0 -
Set up with EE and their offer of Norton Security is good except in the t&c's of Norton it states acceptance automatically allows them to access my account under TPP rules. I did not sign up. Anyone else checked t&c's to see if other things [like Apple etc] can automatically add TPP to their terms?0
