Smart Meter removal

Since having smart meters installed, our gas usage appears to have trebled. Was our old meter really that lazy, or should we query it? We are no longer with the supplier that fitted the meter, but this has huge cost implications for the family.

It is possible that your supplier has got its meter info wrong . Your old meter would have measured in cu ft; your new one in cu meters.

Look at your meter - is it marked m3. Note the serial number.

Look at your bill - is the serial number the same ?

You've just made my evening Robin9: it's my own spreadsheet that's wrong. I try to calculate kWh for price comparison sites, but I hadn't noticed the change to the formula. Thank you.
