I am an administrator of a website and have been given the tool Google Analytics to monitor visitors.
One thing I have seen is Google claim to know the age ranges and
locations of visitors.
How do they know this?
Also can I look at the stats for other sites that I am not administrator of?

They know the stats of most visitors because these are provided to google when the person creates an account with google or one of its partners (of which there are MANY) and are followed around the web using tracking cookies
It uses the same info that google uses to target ads at you.
No, you cant look at the analytics of someone elses site lol0 -
There are some tools like Alexa and Brand 24 you can use to gauge the effectiveness of a competitors comms/site but the usefulness of those tools will depend on what market you're operating in.No, you cant look at the analytics of someone elses site lolOne of the hardest of all life lessons is this:
Just because I feel bad doesn’t necessarily mean someone else is doing something wrong.
Just because I feel good doesn’t necessarily mean what I am doing is right.0 -
