Hi with regards to the laptop I had that wouldn t start up apparently the graphics chip on the motherboard had over heated and failed . So does anyone have any suggestions for a decent middle of the road laptop either with a place to put cd s in Or I could buy an external one Thank you

Prices of laptops have gone up since last Christmas; depends what your budget is but this is a good deal at £480; if this is too much you may have to consider refurbished.

Yeah. If you're looking for something different then the Lenovo Yoga Book is pretty decent. You can get it in Windows or Android.

If you're sticking to Windows then the best price and looks laptop is the ASUS ZenBook UX310UA, Else the Microsoft Surface Book.

For Chromebook you're looking at the ACER Chromebook R 11

Hi yes that’s much more than I want to pay as my iPad is what I use the most . I like to print things off but can’t always do that on the iPad unfortunately. But laptops are handy for downloading music . Or I could just buy an external thing you plug into a notebook.
