Claiming on Inherited Property?

My father inherited a property from my late grandmother a few years ago. Is he allowed to claim PPI on this house if the mortgage company missold it to my grandparents?

Any PPI is not "on the house", it will have protected your grandparents' mortgage payments. Do you even know if they had a mortgage protected by PPI?
Certainly, your father has the right to complain on behalf of his deceased parents, but what complaint would he make? He can't make any accusations about what was said at the time of the sale unless he was actually there. He'll also need to prove to the Bank that he is their executor.

I am talking years go - 70's.
We have zero details on the mortgage details. I may just leave this and let it be as it feels like it will be more hassle than what it is worth.0 -
Since PPI was not retailed in the 1970's, your grandparents will not have had it on their mortgage. You are therefore wasting your time regardless of the "hassle".sho_me_da_money wrote: »I am talking years go - 70's.0
