Universal Credit and 4 weekly pay

I am paid 4 weekly too so in the same situation as you. Although this makes it tricky with UC monthly assessment cycles, its not as bad as you think.
Lets say your salary is £13k so are paid £1000 every 4 weeks.
in 11 months of the year your UC is calculated on £1000 earnings and 1 month every year it is calculated on £2000 earnings, That might mean your UC is reduced to zero but that depends on your circumstances.
In my case our normal payment is about £1050 where as on a 'double-pay' month it's be around 400.
You still receive the same amount of UC over the year as you would if you were paid monthly so you don't lose out by being paid 4 weekly but you do need to work out when that odd month occurs and budget for it.
Remember that your 4 week pay is slightly less than it would be if it was monthly so for 11 months you actually get a slightly higher UC payment. Try to put a bit aside each month to cover the double-pay month.
Its all about budgeting!!0
