pet plan cancellation tie in

Hi
i have had notice from Denplan/Simply health that my pet plan was going up next month and i had 21 day to cancel.
But the practice now tell me that I can only cancel on the anniversary I took out the plan which means I have 1 day a year to cancel without a financial penalty approx £120.
Denplan take the money by DD and sent me all the letter and the contract but now say that the vets are the company i have the contract with and they can do what ever they like.
this sounds like unfair practice, has anyone experienced the same and any advise please?
thanks

What does it say in your contract regarding cancellation?

When is your plan due for renewal?

Surely you can give advance notice that you wish o cancel form the date your current agreement ends.

Your plan is based on you paying x amount for a year's checks and treatments as specified in the agreement over the next 12 months.
Instead of having to pay a year's premium all at once you have been paying on a monthly basis but you still need to ay the annual amount as you have already had the benefits of the plan.

So now you need to tell the vet you do not want to carry on being a member of the plan when you subscription runs. But you will need to continue to pay until then.Might be better to hand in a letter to that effect and make sure it is noted on your records.

You may also need to notify Denplan/Simply Health of the date you wish to stop being a subscriber.
