Standing charges
Hi, I am new to this forum so please be gentle.
I am looking for an energy supplier that does not include a standing charge. I have only come across Solarpicity, but trust pilot is showing mix reviews.
Anyone know of any companies that are free of standing charges?
Thanks:)

The best known is Ebico. The cheap energy club has a filter you can set for no standing charges, but bear in mind this will almost certainly be more expensive than a standing charge/unit cost tariff unless you are a very low user.0

I am a low user, particularly of Gas.
I used to be with Ebico when they were with SSE. SSE have changed me to a tariff that is much more expensive than Ebico.
I have tried to switch back to Ebico but their link to No Standing Charge does not work and if I go into Robin Hood Energy, their new partner, it does not offer a no standing charge tariff direct.0 -
Why do you need a deal without a standing charge? This wont result in a reduction in costs or everyone would do it....0

It does for me.
I'm a Low energy user with ToTo Energy "Go with the flow Pre-Paid" and i'm £30 - £60 a year cheaper than any other provider with (or without) a standing charge.Laters

Do you have a prepayment meter? If so I don't think any supplier offers no standing charge tariffs due to the prepayment price cap.0

Why don't you just want the cheapest price?
To do that, consult a comparsison site to find the best deal for you.:money:
Alternatively, if you are hell bent on a supplier with zero standing charge, use that comparison site, but put 1kWh in for your annual consumption.
All the suppliers with tariffs that have zero standing charge will be at the top!0 -

You have to go to the ebico website to get the ebico tariff.
(Just the same as when SSE were the supply partner of Ebico)0 -

There has been a lot of confusion about the changeover from Ebico/SSE to Ebico/RHE. Previously the bills came from SSE, they were the ones supplying the gas and electricity, so we paid them. (I have quarterly bills, I don't know about direct debits). Our tariffs were set by Ebico, which we signed up to.
We were given notice about the split and changes that were going to happen. We had a choice, do nothing and continue to pay SSE, or leave SSE and sign up with Ebico and their new partner RHE.
Now the bills I get are from Ebico, not RHE.
OP you should check the Ebico web site if you want to move over to them. Check their tariffs to see if you qualify.
