Speedfan may be able to detect the fan speeds (not guaranteed because each laptop board is unique to that model and they quite often don't have fan speed sensors - the program is better on a desktop for fan speeds). Also take the CPU temperature readings on a laptop with a pinch of salt as they're often artificially high.
Speedfan you can get from here:

For battery condition, Windows 8 and later has its own report built in:Open Command Prompt as administrator. To do that, press Windows Key + X to open Win + X menu and choose Command Prompt (Admin).
When Command Prompt opens, enter powercfg /batteryreport command and run it.
Alternatively you can use this program:

As to whether the memory is working fine - if it wasn't you'd know about it by now, as typically you'd have endless blue screens.0 -
Thanks NJ
Thats some good information right there.
No blue screening and no issues so Im safe on that front
Will give the others a go...Still on Win 70 -
Software that checks the fans is of little use. It'll tell you the fan is spinning but it won't tell you the heatsink fins are blocked so the fan isn't cooling anything. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I have always used the free version of Speccy by Piriform. Checks everything, temperatures of CPU etc.0

Go into BIOS and there will usually be an option in there which will give you those stats. Some laptops have inbuilt diagnostics test software. Check your laptop manual for the key combination. (usually f12 at startup)
This will do the test for you.0
