Cat pooing anywhere but outside!

Hi all

I have 5 cats ranging from 16 down to 4 months. Recently my 7 year old girl (narrowed it down to her) has been pooing in the house. She has never done this before and I'm just at a loss what to do.

I thought it could be the kitten but she really likes her and they often play together. It's happening on a daily basis and started with her doing it in the bathroom then in our bedroom,I've had to keep these doors now closed. She now does it in the back room on the rug.

Has anyone else had this problem and what could the solution be please?

Thanks

You have litter trays right? Are they clean?

She likely has bad guts. One of mine has long term issues and when he starts going anywhere it's usually time for the vets and some treatment.

Do you have enough trays? With 5 cats, that's a minimum of 6 trays.

Try putting one of the trays in her new favourite place.
