The TV has Scart and Svideo, plus the red, yellow, white input connectors.
Any ideas please?
Also is this any good as a Streamer?

Or what cables would i need to connect a Windows 8.1 Lenovo Tablet to the TV, please?

As an example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Neoteck-HDMI-to-SCART-Converter-HDMI-Input-SCART-Output-Adapter-Composite-Video-/282690429432?hash=item41d1a9a1f8:g:eNcAAOSwB9hZ3jnp
Probably, along with the box above, something like this for the tablet http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/High-Speed-3-in1-HD-HDMI-to-HDMI-Cable-Micro-HDMI-Adaptor-Mini-HDMI-Adapter-/263278340674?hash=item3d4c9caa42:g:hR0AAOSwevdZ7upm0 -
No epxerience myself but same thing as above at amazon (reviews are mainly non-fake)

And a cheap Roku stick. e.g. (if any are left) https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/roku-streaming-stick-748-currys-instore-28152800 -

Thankyou for your replies.
I guess there's no cheap easy way of doing it.
I might have to just stick to using the 10 year old laptop connected by Svideo and Audio cables to the TV.
It's rather unsightly, but does the job when needed.0 -
If it doesn't even have component in, then I'd go for a new TV.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

Just buy a device with the correct connectors in the first place.
Examples;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Roku-1-1080p-Digital-HD-Media-Streamer-/253216100948
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Roku-LT-model-2400X-Freeview-streaming-player-with-remote-boxed-/122758957378
The second unit is somewhat overpriced, but Buy It Now. With both you can connect via Composite or HDMI.
I'd go for the first. Set a max bid of £21.0 -
Alternatively, if you state your location, I do a search on Gumtree for you.
Example here; https://www.gumtree.com/p/tv-reception-set-top-boxes/roku-lt-streaming-player/1270941483
£15 ono0
