getting off ebid

Apologies all for putting this up again. I have just discovered how to make a new thread....
I want to leave ebid and cannot find from the site how to do it. I THINK I have stopped my subscription but was told by another member that as long as I am seller + status that I will have to keep paying. I have written via 'contact us' to no avail as they bounce the message back saying I am making a mistake, although all I do is fill out their blanks.
There is nothing on FAQs and I am getting worried that the fees will be forever deducted.

I have written to support but have not had a human resonse. My bank has advised me to keep all records of correspondence in case I have to take this further, but I cannot see that it has to be such an issue. They provide a service, I availed myself of that service and no longer require it. And advice would be great.....

Could you try asking on the ebid forums they have 1 or 2 very regular posters who might be able to help. I'm surprised though that they are not responding to you as I thought one of their 'selling points' was that you got to talk to a human being quickly if you had a problem unlike ebay where non powersellers have to stick with just email and an automated system.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just having a browse of the forums and there appears to be a problem with some AOL mail , try looking at the last couple of pages here:

Hi. The easiest way of resolving this headache (I had the same one) is to call your credit card company. Tell them you have misplaced your card and they will STOP your old card and send you a new one. If you don't want to do this you could explain why you want your card stopping and they will do the same thing but it will take a lot more explaining although should still be free (wee bit of a white lie).
You can also "charge back" the unauthorised charges by telling your credit card company you did not authorise them (if you have saked to cancel and they still take money then it is unauthorised).
Good luck!0 -
Thanks to all who answered. I have had now a response telling me that I am going to be removed. I will keep checking and if they continue to deduct fees, the bank says I can so something about it.0

Just downgrade your account to BUYER and the subscription stops.
There's a section somewhere that deals with your "eBid Subscription" that should have it.Why Pay High Fees
on eBay when there ARE alternative sites available?0
