It's been a busy few days.
Tonight I had a very busy shift at work and wanted to get some stuff done at home. So treated us to a MacDonalds.
Yesterday I spent the day running here their and everywhere. Including back to the doctors. I still have blood in my urine (have done for two weeks Dispite having strong antibiotics) so I've got to get another appointment on Thursday as I've been suffering with quite bad bladder incontinence .
I came home tonight to both chest of drawers built so emptied one of the old ones and filled one of the new ones.
Emptied out the storage cupboard in our room and reorganised it.
I've took my certificates into work to be photo copied so that's one thing done.
I'm having a bath shortly and then off to bedJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -

it's been a journey the last few months. If that's the way too put it. In everyway possible I feel much better about our life. Our debt is going down our savings up all be it sometimes slower than others.
Our home is less cluttered. More organised. I'm in a Better routine. Having a new baby 12 months ago took that out of whack for abit and then I started work and it got worse. But I finally have control again.
Theres one last thing I want to do before the year is out regarding the house and thats see if we can find away for our bedroom to work better. I can't tell you how much joy it brought me tonight to sort out my clothes into the new chest of drawers instead of having to go into the cupboard under the stairs (ground floor flat) . Now I'm at a happier place with my home which I didn't think was possible. I just want to decorate and get it looking lovely. But my head says not to waste my money as we could potentially be looking at moving as early as next year. !
I've decided to put off my degree for a while. And concentrate on my family. I'll be doing my nvqs hopefully and once youngest is at school will be heading towards management position in my career.
If I thought I'd be where I am financially and mentally this time last year (I was diagnosed with bipolar January last year) id of laughed at whoever told me my life would now be like this and everything was going to be okay. Back then after 4 years of being undiagnosed I was trying to come to terms with having yet another label put on me for the rest of my life. I was trying to figure out coping strategies that worked for me so that I could finally have some control now I knew what was wrong. I never thought I'd be at this point so soon. I never thought I'd be able to gain such strong control of it. And I honestly thought that due to my physical and mental health id end up giving up work within a few months. But nearly 12 months on I'm still there. I've made no major !!!! ups. And I've gained financial control for the most part where my mental health is concerned.
I now walk in too a tidy uncluttered hall thanks to the fab shoe cabinet I brought last year.
My kitchen sides are organised and free of clutter thanks to the shelving units in the corner.
I can now walk round my kitchen without smacking my hips on the table. Thanks to my Nana's 1960s folding table that fits all of us round for a Sunday dinner when both sides are up!
I may have gained an extra child last year but my lounge has less toys. Okay so we have like 40 board games across the top shelves but in fairness we play at least one game a day so it's not like they are just gathering dust.
I no longer have a TV in the lounge and no longer have kids glued to a screen thanks to the fab projector we brought nearly 2 years ago.
My sheds have both been emptied and reorganised meaning I can actually walk in and get something without risking killing myself
The boys have a bedroom floor thats visible thanks to some handy storage solutions brought last year... Thanks i*ea .
My bathroom is a relaxing space thanks to the decluttering I did this weekend removing a whole bin bag worth of stuff we don't use!
And the best bit... I've been making the time to make every bed. Every day and that feeling when you walk in the bedrooms and it's all so clean and tidy and the beds are properly made with all the pillows set out just so. And cuddly toys (the kids not mine) makes that ten minutes all worth while.
Now there is less stuff. (which I didn't think we had a lot of after having some real deep and major Chuck it and skip episodes after leaving my ex) it takes less time to clean which can only mean one thing. More time to do the more inportant things in life .. Such as spending time with my loved ones. Or just simply being able to relax of an evening instead of doing jobs till bed time.
I've even started trying to attend church regularly with the eldest

it made my heart warm
Another day at work done. And a small food shop.
I have a parcel to return tomorrow. And a letter to sort and post.
Also need to book the two youngest in for their immunisations and a doctors appointment for myself.
I've spent alot of money this month. So next month will be a tight ship.
I have my last training day for Macmillan before starting to volunteer with them. And church on Sunday. Our national trust passes have come so we will be making use of them most weekends im off Work this year
Youngest two kids Have been fed. Eldest is in bed and fell asleep (hasn't had a nap today so he was ready for bed to be honest) .
Off to feed the eldest and then we are watching Cinderella before bed.
I need to start my stuff for work tomorrow . Can't keep putting it off.
Off to relax and going to get an early night. Hope everyone is well and having a good weekJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -
yesterday I went to the doctors. Have my smear booked in for Monday (had to cancel my last one) after speaking to the nurse practitioner I now also have an appointment for blood tests and an ultrasound on my bladder ovaries and uterus.
That's the crap of the week out the way.
Today I completed my core training and I am now a qualified emotional support volunteer for Macmillan.
We have church tomorrow. I have food shopping to do tonight.
The budget has gone out the water this month. But I think that's because I've secretly been worrying alot regarding my health. But everything is in place now to try and get to the bottom of it so it's time to get back on track.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend xJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -
You are motivating me to get our house sorted, but my issue is getting Mrs SJ on board!! Great read.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Thank-you. It's a privilege to know it's motivating others. My partner is a bit of a hoarder but I find if I start he follows. Baby steps. Just getting rid of one thing out if each room is X amount of things removed You don't use or need. Start small one corner at a time. been to church this morning. Also went for a walk Down to the shop as a family to get electric.
At church this morning they were talking About sponsering a child abroad to help put them through a year of high school education. This is something I hope to donate too. (I give alot to charities in this country already and give to the foodback weekly so no judgment on me gifting some money aboard please)
I've also spoken to some people regarding fostering / adoption. This is something we as a couple have spoke about doing since we met. And the sooner we move and could possibly extend to give us a spare room the sooner we can apply so other than the fact we need a bigger Home as a family this is another great motivation too help keep me going
On that note I need to sort my bank accounts out later. It's not looking good
But I'm trying to be careful over the coming months and April is a new month.
I also still have that money to pay into my bank was going to do it tomorrow but I won't get chance so will do it Thursday now.June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460
