Need credit card for holiday (First Time)

Hi,

I'm going on holiday in December and need a credit-card I have never had a credit card and tbh don't know how they even work, I want something where I won't be charged a ton of interest + transaction / exchange rate fee.

(I'm probably going to hire a car abroad, so I think most will only accept credit cards too)

What's the recommend card?

The recommended card - something like Clarity - probably isn't one you can get.

If you have a thin credit file, I'd be trying your own bank or a sub prime lender. One of the aqua cards that has free forex may suit.

If you're successful, make sure you understand how it works before you start using it.

Just got accepted for a Santander Zero Credit Card.

I'd probably get accepted for the Halifax one as well, I already have a mortgage without any late payments and earn over 30k+

Plus I forgot to mention I had a contract phone deal a few years ago.
