Combine cards ??

Hi all, little advice please ..
I have 2 capital one credit cards with relatively low limits (700 and 400) which I don't really use but would like to keep "just in case" ..
They have given me the option of combining the 2 limits into one card and cancelling the other.
My question is, what looks better on my credit file ?
The 2 cards as is, or one less account with a higher limit, or does it make no difference ?
I guess I'm just curious more than anything else
Thanks in advance
Andy

Unlikely to make much difference as far as your credit file is concerned. But it is useful to have a second CC as a back up.0

Do they both have the same interest rate?
I used to have two cards with them and both had different rates so make sure if you combine them you end up with the lowest rate possible.
Also, get them to combine the two accounts into the one you have had the longest as longevity looks good on your credit report.0
