I'm not sure Adrian. The last time I saw them was in July. I'm sure she showed us clearly that there was no difference and would be no gradient but said there might be a slight difference of 5-10 cm from front to back. The reason we specifically asked was because the show home had quite a bad gradient and she assured us the new ones would be flat.

Some people want the earth moving for them.

    Sorry, I'll get my coat.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Lol, it's ok, i could use a laugh right now. The garden isn't actually too bad, It's just the principle. When someone sells you something, especially if they are legally bound to tell the truth, you'd expect them to just tell you the truth about what your going to get and not wait a week before you get it to tell you they may of told a small lie about the one thing you specifically asked them for.

How much fuss are you going to kick up for something that isn't too bad, in the the knowledge that the only person you're stressing out is yourself?

This would fall under the de minimis rule, even with evidence the difference is so small (5cm per metre) that it is a triviality.

New builds are nearly always missold. The new build estate (future council estate) near us was sold with prosecco and pizza! :)
  • I once nearly bought a house where the bedroom floors had more incline than that . . !

Guess your right. Suppose I could get my own back by getting my solicitor to put a retention clause in the completion contract and hire the world's most anal snagger. Other than that, it's a lost cause.

Does the garden slope down away or towards the house? If away then you've got natural drainage so little chance of the house flooding. :)

It says in the OP the slope is away from the house.

It's a nice idea, but you can only add a clause to the contract if the builder agrees - and I doubt they will!
