Avoid UGG BOOTS R US

Ive had a right carry on with this lot, in one of my previous threads I bigged them up.
I ordered there new leather waterproof pair of uggs end of august. They took a month to arrive when then did the stiching had come away and they looked smaller than a previous pair. Without even trying them on I returned them costing me 17 quid. They finally sent me another pair and this time i've been charged 11 quid customs and they are not refunding me the 17 quid it cost me to return the faulty pair, they are also accusing me of trying on the damaged pair they've sent even thought quite clearly the stiching had come away just because I;ve requested a bigger pair. Had I not requested a bigger pair would they have still accused me or done a simple exchange???!!!
There is no contact with them other than email. Does anyone know what my rights are here with this lot?

Not really sure you'll have much protection. You're not going to be covered by any UK legislation as it's an Australia based company and website. In terms of the £11 at customs, you can't complain about it (although reading your psot i'm not sure if you're wanting to) as customs are entitled to charge you and it's your responsibility to check beforehand if you will be charged, nothing to do with UGG Boots at all. I think you mgiht be quite limited in responses on ehre as while some people have a decent knowledge of UK consumer law, i doubt there are any with the same level of knowledge about Australian consumer law.
You'll msot likely find the answers your looking for here though http://www.consumer.gov.au or if not, a contact to get more information.Bought, not Brought0 -
Yes, AVOID Uggs R Us! Poor quality, will not work with dissatisfied customer. Purchased boots from them and within two months the LEATHER tore. Not a quality product. Go somewhere else with your money, someplace that offers a warranty.0
