Aldi large eggs are really medium.

Sure as eggs are eggs
the staff in the egg measuring department have failed and are not doing an eggcellent job.
Jokes aside I thought they was getting smaller and now I will check as next it will be extra large eggs that used to be the large size with an extra large price.0 -
Think some posters are missing the point. If Aldi are selling medium eggs as large then they are defrauding the customer. Snarky comments do not detract from this, how would you feel if other retailers weren't delivering what they charged for?You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Aldi have a returns policy. Take them back for a no-quibble refund.0

downshifted - you are right to be annoyed. To those who are making sarcastic comments:
1. As churchmouse says, it is fraud (assuming, OP that your scales are correct!)
2. Many on this board are struggling with issues of money or time; support and encouragement make a huge difference, please don't undermine that. Just pass over posts where you have nothing to contribute.
To everyone else: I rarely buy eggs at a supermarket (when the hens at our local farm go on strike!) when I do, I am amazed at the cost difference between medium and large. As I am used to adjusting to 'mixed' eggs, I buy those - they are usually the cheapest. Most of the time, exact size is not critical, when it is, you can find conversion tables on line.0 -
Thank you for the supportive replies. I was a bit shocked at the initial responses, as this is a money saving site and it’s obviously poor value to pay for large eggs and get medium ones. I have a ceramic egg tray and it holds medium eggs comfortably while large ones normally jostle together. Not recently though.
Thinking about it, it’s a problem at the egg packing stage, and I bet they pack for more than Aldi
As I said originally I will check more carefully before buying next timeDownshifted
