Hi,
Has anyone used a Driving License as Id when crossing Dover - Calais?
Is it an acceptable alternative to a passport?
Friend needs to renew his passport and is unlikely to get it back before we go.
thanks
(i'm going to call P&O later but i just wanted to know if someone has actually use it)

Definitely passport - driving licence does not prove your nationality which you need to do as France is a country outside the Common Travel Area0
