Another Question about a Howdens quote

I have been sent a quote by Howdens, which I haven't yet accepted, as I can see the the prices for appliances and the pull out larder are excessive. The planner has suddenly revealed that there is an 'October' sale and that if I place the order before the end of the month he will knock another £500 off.

The planner will also know from my builder that they are not ready to install the kitchen next month, as it relies on the time for my kitchen to be extended. He has therefore told me that if I want to accept the offer, I will need to take delivery by the end of the month and pay £150 for it to be kept in storage - but I will save £350. It is clear to me that he is going to arrange the storage. Has anyone come across something similar?

Do not store it. What happens if it gets damaged, short delivered, or damp gets into the mfc panels? Get it delivered to your home so everything can be checked off and checked for quality/damage.

October is Howdens kitchen sale month. £150 is only for storage if it needs storing somewhere for a period of time. Delivery by the end of the month if you order now shouldn't cost - otherwise you just leave ordering until a couple of days before the end of the sale.

I wouldn't buy appliances from them. You'll get better range and prices online.
