Bedroom tax

Hi so I accepted an offer on an adapted council property a few weeks ago and I have now moved into it, it has 3 bedrooms which I need all of them except it has a room downstairs that could be turned into a bedroom which would help as it has a downstairs wet room. So what I'm trying to say is if I turn this into my bedroom downstairs i would technically have a bedroom spare upstairs so would that mean i then have to pay bedroom tax

Thanks :)

    My thoughts.

What does it say on the tenancy agreement - a 3 bedroom house or a 4 bedroom house? Presumably a 3 bed house so therefore turning a room downstairs into a bedroom should not make it into a 4 bedroom house. So no under under occupancy charge.

Which room are you thinking of using - a living room/dining room?
