Car door will not open
Hi Folks
I own a 5 door Seat Ibiza 2008. Yesterday, I discovered that the back door on the passenger side does not open from outside, although it opens as normal from the inside.
Could someone be kind enough to tell me how to rectify this problem?
Can I take it to any car garage or shall I take it to a Seat dealer?
Would it be expensive to resolve?
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Any garage can fix it. likely a road has come loose/broken.
Relatively easy but fiddly fix.0 -

It shouldnt be a big fix - its probably the handle itself has broken. Its a good news story that its opening from the inside though (as its a real horror when neither work!)
A local mechanic should be able to sort it.0 -
edit: misread the OP0

I have this on my mini. Caused by not using the passenger door handle often enough. A quick squirt with a lubricant sorts it0

This happened on my 07-plate Golf (bear in mind that skoda, seat, golf and audi are all owned by the same company - VAG). There's a door lock module which needed replacing.
I had two go - first the front passenger door (so I replaced both front door modules), then the rear driver side door (so I replaced both rear door modules).0
