EDF forced smart meter, now tripping rcd

edf kept contacting me to get a smart meter which i refused but they made it sound like i was legally obligated(have since complained although nothing has been done
anyway got it installed and after a few days everything in kitchen trips the rcd switch
i phoned them and said its nothing to do with them and to get electrician and if i can prove its them they will reimburse(which i dont believe)
phoned council and they say i have to get edf to fix or pay.
what do i do? it seems weird all my appliances in kitchen are faulty considering it started few days after install.

Try unplugging your kitchen alliances, all of them, including fridge
Does the RCD still trip?
If not then it is one of your appliances, plug them back in one at a time until the RCD trips, it is then the last one plugged in
Repeat once more just to prove it
If RCD does trip with all your appliances unplugged [unplugged, not just switched off], then it is your wiring and I suggest the meter is a coincidence, unless any one know otherwiseNumerus non sum0 -
4 of my appliances have tripped it though. and its random aswell...ive used all 4 without tripping alos.0

Only thing I could think of is if they have reversed the live and neutral
Its against regulations for them to do this. and very naughty.
Appliances should still work fine, but if there was a dormant problem it would uncover it.
you could buy one of these to see if that's the case:
