Claim form from county court business centre
ItWasn'tMe
Hi I have received a claim form from county court business centre in relation to what I assume is a parking charge from civil enforcement limited in 2015
at the time of the parking notice letter I ignored as advised, partly because we did actually pay for a ticket and displayed it correctly and didn't over stay our time. It was a machine where you enter your registration and can only assume that we put wrong reg as it was a new car. Anyway now this letter came and I'm worrying.
Also it is addressed with my name spelt back to front so that is an error??
I wasn't actually the driver at the time but was a passenger.
Not sure how to upload a photo of the letter but any advice welcome.

Yes but unimportant.
Good, so you will know from reading other CEL threads galore, that you can't be held liable. Show us your draft defence based on a very recent one written re CEL, that mentions Henry Greenslade and the 1st October CPR changes.I wasn't actually the driver at the time but was a passenger.
You'll find examples of that defence style, by reading other CEL defences from the past week.
And you'll already have seen how to do the AOS online, when you were reading the NEWBIES thread first.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks. I've read a few posts which mention waiting until poc are received. So should i wait for that 1st or do I need to be acting upon the letter I have received so far?0

If this was indeed a VRN error, they are going to struggle in court imo. It appears to be a penalty, it is certainly a scam.
Why should they think that, because of a minor typo, they are entitled to £100+++? They have been paid, lost nothing and any contractual term that they are relying on may well be unfair, read about unfair terms in consumer contracts here.
