Just a couple of niggles on my friends NV200 van which I'd like to get some second opinion on...
There's a slight droning noise the van. Seems to not be related to the transmission / gear changes. Basically it sounds like a weird hum, as if some inlet or fan is slightly blocked or caught on something. After awhile, it seems to go away. Could it be the DPF regenerating / warming up? Or slightly loose fanbelt?
Second issue, there's a bit of power loss when changing from third to forth. It's only momentary, it's a lot like turbo lag. Other gears seem fine, and there's loads of biting point on the clutch. Especially compared to my car, where you have to almost release the clutch completely before it pulls away.
I'm probably being paranoid, I'm not really a van person but a friend in a trade tells me get used to it and grow a pair .

Does the droning sound only happen when you are in the van? I think there may be a connection here.
I'm in a trade also and likewise suggest you grow a pair and don't get paranoid over a friends van.I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.0
