Renault Megane Coupe - need alloy replacement/repair and tyres
Right, here is my situation
Had my car MOT last week - failed on one tyre, plus one was advisory.
Then, last night, swerved to avoid an animal, hit the kerb. Damaged one alloy badly, another less badly, but will probably still need fixing
So I need:
3 new tyres
2 new alloys
I wondered if it might be cheaper to replace the lot, especially if I can get them secondhand with tyres. Got a couple of quotes from brokers, tried eBay and found nothing suitable.
It's a Renault Megane Mk 3 Coupe, 1.9dci Privilege
I want to make the most cost-effective option and to get it done ASAP - fitting is no problem as I have a good local garage.

Have you priced up non-standard alloys? It might be cheaper.0

I did have a look on there, it threw up a single used wheel with tyre that didn't match the rest of my car, plus a set that is listed here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Scenic-2004-2009-16-4x-Alloy-Wheels-Tyres-205-55-R16-ref-7PP2-/162502227906?fits=Car+Make%3ARenault%7CModel%3AMegane%7CCars+Year%3A2011%7CPlat_Gen%3AMK+III%7CCars+Type%3A1.9+dCi&hash=item25d5e337c2:g:~5oAAOSwcgNZCjWO
I bought the exact same auction yesterday, but the seller asked for my car details as he thought he'd made an error in the listing.
When I told him my car info, he said that they were the wrong type and refunded me.
Now the same listing is up again, still listed as compatible with my car, but £30 more expensive. I'd be more than happy to pay that, but is the seller pulling a fast one, or is he just unable to list an auction without errorsWycombe Till I Die0 -
Here is a picture of the lesser damaged wheel by the way, unsure whether I'd be able to get away with just a new tyre or not.Wycombe Till I Die0 -

Check your tracking also by the way.
Thats repairable - as probably is the other wheel.
Also i'd have thought any Renault Megane alloys of that era would fit.0 -
Cheers, I have messaged the eBay seller to double check about that auctionWycombe Till I Die0

Lookup the company linked below - they're very good and might be able to do something for you.

Probably not a cheap as eBay though.0 -
Thanks for all the help so far. I think I've sorted it. Bought a couple of 17 inch alloys, exact same design and size from eBay - £190 which is cheaper than repair.
Was a tad worried when online places were quoting 16 inch rims, plus the spare in the boot is a 16 inch. Not sure how they measure them, but the ones on the car definitely say 17 inch.
I searched Google for 'Rovelo Tyre Misprint' and Rovelo Tyre Printing error, so fingers crossed there hasn't been a mistake that leads to me getting the wrong sized wheel.Wycombe Till I Die0 -
I don't know about your specific model, but it's not unusual for the same car to some with different wheel options. For example my new Insignia comes with 17" wheels on my model, but you can also opt for 18" or even 20" wheels. (Tyre sizes vary depending on wheel size ... the larger the wheel, the lower the tyre profile allowed).0
