Daily Mail - So called free bumper AA road atlas

Ok, Its a good bargain but to say it's free is misleading
I followed the instructions to find I had to create an account with Daily Mail's Mymail and link it to my Nectar account
So point No. 1 - It's not free to everyone only members of Mymail and Nectar
Point 2. You must have 100 Nectar points on your account in order to get the map
Maybe I'm a bit dumb when it comes to it but I thought I was getting 100 Nectar points for linking my Nectar. but no, they took 100 Nectar points from my account
It was my impression that 100 points were to be added to my account and once received I could claim the map
so in reality
It costs £1 to buy the daily mail and 100 Nectar points. I don't think that the 100 Nectar points is made very clear
I interpreted the word "Redeem" to mean I would be redeeming the points to my account, not from it
Oh, they did give me 10 for my £1 copy of their paper

100 Nectar points are only worth 50p, at least you don't have to pay p&p like most of their offers.0

Shouldn't buy that facist rag in the first place. Screws it's own readers.0
-
Well even so, theres nothing that says you have to spend nectar points till you've already signed up and entered the numbers
Oh and I didn't buy that fascist rag anyway I picked it up in a cafe and only read the TV guide
I never read DM because its full of rubbish
I also gave an email address that I only use for offers like that. Not my personal oneIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -
Rule 1: If you are going to vent, get your facts right.
I have a copy of yesterday's Mail in front of me, and the front page says (and I quote)
'Free* AA Road Atlas'
'* Online access, MyMail membership and Nectar points required. While stocks last. See page 38 for detail'
Page 38 does indeed give more details including the fact that you need 100 nectar points to claim.0 -
I've been hearing radio ads for the promotion for the last few days. There was some gabbled T&Cs about eligibility for the offer.0
