I was thinking of setting myself up as a Virtual Assistant because of my many years working in various Admin roles, so I looked up a few sites on the Internet.

I can across http://freelanceassistant.co.uk/ and decided to register with them - it cost me £27. Their website states it is a one-off registration fee.

I then found out that to actually get any work through them, you then have to pay another fee to get the info etc.

I decided to ask for my £27 back, as their registration email states "As we do not take any percentage of your earnings, there is a small membership fee to provide our service to you. However, we have a 14 day 100% refund policy if you change your mind."

I emailed them the same day! I've emailed them several times since but never had a reply (despite their website saying they will response to all queries within 24 hours).

I don't want to ring them at 13p per minute + access charge and be kept on hold for several minutes, costing me more money!


Just wondering if anyone else had used this company or had any advice on where I can go next?

Have you access the member's portal? If so, you are not entitled to a refund.

They have a Refund Policy "Refund requests should be put in writing and are at the sole discretion of the company."

However, I;ve tried contacting them & never get a reply. When I first paid my £27, the email I received states "we have a 14 day 100% refund policy if you change your mind."

I emailed them back THE SAME DAY after finding out about the various charges etc.

Looks like I won't be hearing anything back......
