Yes I know but why does the op think that's compulsory and renders the phone unfit for purpose if no updates?
I have Android TV boxes running on Android 4 that work fine. I have phones that work on older versions of Android that perform just as good as the latest ones I also own.
The long and the short of it is the op's phone isn't unfit for purpose and the op just wants gimmicks for the sake of it and probably didn't read what they were signing up for!0
