BW Legal - Excel

Hi,
Re a PCN dated March 2016
Received letter from BW Legal requesting payment of £160.00 within 16 days or will seek their clients instructions etc etc
So this is presumably the letter before the 'letter before court action'? so don't respond to this one ?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

Where does £160 come from, what was the ticket price ??
One assumes you have had debt collector letters ??
In view of the new claim procedure as from the 1st Oct
BWLegal need to be very careful and they musr now
give you full information
So, write back to them as KEEPER and deny any debt
and request proof of their claim that they will rely upon
If they fail, a court will not be impressed with incompetence0 -
Hi Thanks for that.
Yes, all previous demands from Excel/Dcbl (i think) ignored.
Will draft something up based on Newbies letters.
I have recently moved address into temp rented accommodation, they however, found this address somehow??
Just about to move again to new permanent address, presumably I should mention this in correspondence ?
(all previous letters etc from debt collector disappeared in the move !)
Thanks0 -
And thank your lucky stars they did coz if they'd continued communicating with your old address and proceeded to court (which they do frequently) then you could've ended up with a default CCJ and a ruined credit file by not responding to the claimI have recently moved address into temp rented accommodation, they however, found this address somehow??0 -

As lamilad says, be careful, keep them up to date with
any new address and request confirmation0 -
Lamilad,
All my post is forwarded on from my previous address, however, their letter was to the rented address!
Could you just please give me your thoughts as to whether this letter is or is not an LBC as it doesn't state that at all on the letter, and also that I should respond with letter drafted from examples on the Newbie sticky ?
Thanks0 -

Could you please scan the letter and upload to a free
hosting site and type the URL here as hxxp and someone
will convert for you.
Let us see it

If it doesn’t say so on the letter, it can’t be. But how you expect us to confirm something we’ve never seen, but you have directly in front of you. MSE hasn’t offered any of us the clairvoyant course yet. And I can’t see that happening in the future!Could you just please give me your thoughts as to whether this letter is or is not an LBC as it doesn't state that at all on the letter, and also that I should respond with letter drafted from examples on the Newbie sticky ?
If you’re going to get a real LBC it will need to contain much more information.

Umkomaas,
Point taken ! trying to figure out how to upload it !!0 -
Hi,
Is this ok ?

As said by Umkomaas below.
They have made a statement and now you reply
stating you deny any debt and request proof of any claim
they will be relying upon in court
Then, with their reply, come back here
If they fail, it will be at their peril0
