    I only use butter, but why do people say they use margarine? Not been available in UK for donkeys years.

    It gets used as a term for any non-dairy butter-like spread, because people don't know the difference...

    What’s Stork if not margarine? Previously advertised as being impossible to tell from butter, which presumably had to stop when those without advanced nasal polyposis were asked.

    I'm almost certain I have seen Echo margarine in shops??

    That was the only one my Dad ate. I used to bring it into cooking classes at school everyone else used Stork. My cake mix was always paler and lighter in texture. The Stork a weird bright yellow colour.:D
