    Carina Ricci some Italian make!

It’s not a designer label, a quick Google search shows eBay listings and “label therapy” whose “buy” links take you to the TKMaxx website.
  • I've never understood this "designer label" thing when it comes to cheapo clothing.
I can understand it if it's a premium brand such as Gucci or Dior but why do people get excited about some of the very low end items that were allegedly designed by someone that most of the population have never heard of and may not even exist.

A Channel 4 documentary in 2013 found that TK Maxx have lots of own brands with "designer-sounding" names:
C4 Dispatches unwraps concerns about pricing and labelling at TK Maxx

    ...

In total we found more than 150 brand names like Frederick Andersen of Copenhagen, Refectory, Kernar, Mark Law were registered as trademarks by TJX Inc, parent company of TK Maxx..

What this means is that some brands, despite the exotic sounding labels that are attached to it, are made for TK Maxx. They are own brand labels.

I'm not sure what you expect Sainsbury's Customer Service to do. You aren't their customer, your TKMaxx's customer. Other than thanking you for letting them know what were you expecting them to do for you?
    I agree with this.

Was advised to take photos and send to customer service, I was also given an Enq nbr. Ive done this twice and had confirmation of receipt of my email and no more, that was over a week ago..so much for Sainsburys customer service.
Why are you chasing Sainsburys about this?
I think your comments about Sainsburys customer service is unfair.

Wait for TKMaxx to get in touch and if they don't do so in the timescale you expect, chase them.

OP you make it sound like someone in the backroom at TKmaxx is going out to Sainsburys, buying some clothes, cutting off the labels and replacing them with a fancy sounding label.

I doubt that it's any kind of conspiracy either, which is something else you seem to suggest.

The cardigan may have been made in the same factory as Sainsburys uses. It may have been a mistake or a deliberate policy to rebrand an item, but I can't see that anything untoward has happened.

We shop at TKMaxx fairly often and I like what they do, but I do tend to buy brands I recognise and have a fair idea of the quality, like Crew for instance. Not everything sold there is a "designer" item by any means and that's quite easy to tell by the quality. Lower end manufacturers have been putting fancy sounding names on their clothes for as long as I can remember. I suspect it's always gone on.

Even if TK were doing something wrong it's nothing to do with Sainsburys, so leave them alone.

To be fair, Sainsbury's TU is much better quality that a lot of the usual 'designer' stuff TKM sell.
Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear
  • TKM 'buy in' end of range stuff from a wide selection of places.

Well this is TKMaxx’s Carina Ricci selection, does the one you bought look like any of them?

    I love TK Maxx

Just bought something there that was £6.99 and is £15 to£20 everywhere else.

I am very pleased with it so do not care where it came from.
