I agree; particularly, as BEIS is currently consulting on whether to extend the stop date for SMETS1 meter installations. The consultation ends on the 10 November.

Does anyone have a view or knowledge of if the installation 'engineers' actually know if they are fitting SMETS1 or SMETS2 meters?

I understand some of these people have been recruited specifically for the smart meter roll out but I wonder how well informed they are about the spec. of what they are fitting. Anyone know?
