roofing quote - Sussex area

I am trying to assess what a reasonable price is for retiling a sloping clay tile roof on a lean to approx. 240cm x 195 cms. (Victorian terraced house in Mid-Sussex).
I have had one quote so far for £2340 which includes scaffolding, removal/discarding of existing battens and tiles, top up insulation, fit new felt, battens and clay tiles.
The roof is leaking, and plainly some of the nails attaching the tiles to the battens have corroded away. It is quite possible it is the original roof. The quote made my eyes water - but may be quite reasonable for the work being done. Asking around hasn't been that helpful -nothing comparable in recent years.
So would appreciate any advice - including any good questions to ask the roofers providing the quotes.

Get two other quotes - give the roofers a list of exactly the same requirements. It sounds too expensive but perhaps access or scaffolding may be difficult. The list makes no mention of replacement fascia, soffit or barge boards and what about rainwater goods. It's reasonable to expect some carpentry repairs too but perhaps they've allowed for all this in that figure.0

Contact the nfrc and ask for roof tilers in your area. Try and get a recommendation and avoid online things like checkatrade, my builder, competentroofer etc...0
