                    Hi all,
Today I have had an appeal from ParkingEye refused.
Back inSeptember I entered a business park in the evening to shop in 'the Range'i left approx 15 minutes later, I returned in the morning to go into the gym, strangely my registration was only picked up on entering in the evening and exiting the next morning after the gym.
ParkingEye wanted proof, all I could provide was my gym usage which is completley pointless as this doesn't prove the car was with me. I'm at a loss as to what to do now.
I had originally asked ParkingEye to review their entries for the times I stated, there must had been a misread of my plate, I don't think they bothered as there was no mention of this in their response,
They have given me another 28 days to provide further evidence, what can I do?
Many thanks
Scott

have they not given you a popla code ?
this is a clear case of "double dipping" , look it up on here and on parking pranksters blogsite
it is their job to prove the vehicle was there for the duration they say, in court if necessary
their account and yours are different
complain to the landowner (which probably isnt the RANGE) whilst waiting for the inevitable rejection and popla code
read ppst #2 of the NEWBIES sticky thread to get the gist for a popla appeal based on legal arguments
clearly they failed their much vaunted 19 point check in looking for this type of anomaly0

            Thanks for th reply Redx.
I'm going to contact 'the range' customer services and make a complaint,
If that fails I will contact the landlord, however how do I go about this? Where can I find details on the landlord? I guess I will make the same complaint that I will do against the Range?
 Thanks0

".....strangely my registration was only picked up on entering in the evening and exiting the next morning after the gym."
Not strange at all, and they know it, ANPR is not very reliable.0

Thank you for the responses on this.
I contacted 'The Gym' group, today I've had a response from the site manager asking me to take my PCN into so they can get it cancelled, what a relief!!!!
however i cant help but feel that this still needs to be escalated to the landlord, is this a good idea or should i leave it be?0

This is a well known scam, there is lots of information available on the internet, start here.

I would be complaining in everyone's ear about this scam. PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland). PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If you have a smart phone you may be able to retrace your steps on google maps, which rather creepily tracks your movements and stores them.
Another poster talked through how to do this on a thread a few days ago. I Oates on the thread. If you search my posts, the title of the thread was something about “lies”. Do you live with anyone who can say you left and came back then left again (in your car)
Any text messages to anyone saying “going to the gym now”
Any text messages after you got back from the shop? What did you do afterwards? Eg did you watch something specific on tv? Did you go out to meet anyone? Go to the shop/petrol station? Did you make any calls? Send any emails? These may indicate or say where you were.
Of course none definitively shows you were with your car but it would be absurd to think you drove there then left your car and walked/took the bus home, so the assumption would be you drove.
Think about what “footprint” you left showing what you did or where you went.
