I agree about putting things away as you go rather than having a heap of stuff all at once. For example, if there is a jumper lying on the sofa, I will set it at the bottom of the stairs so that I take it next time I go up.

Someone on here a long time ago said that they write even tiny things on their to do list that they know they will be doing anyway and get the satisfaction of marking it off. Also they said to write down bits you have already done that day and still mark them off so you can see even the wee bits that you have achieved.
Good luck with your challenge. It’s so hard to keep on top of things when you’re not well.

Managed little bits again today in the kitchen.

Got the bin bleached out, the washing machine cleaned inside and out and the skirting boards cleaned.

I'm surprised I got anything done as I managed to fall last night and crack my head and hip.

Still baby steps but I'm closer to having one room back to normal.

  • I have an autoimmune condition and some days it's difficult to do much so I have a baseline - walk the dogs and get food on the table, and anything else is a bonus. This stops me from beating myself up for not doing anything, as just putting the vac round counts as a result. There will be a couple of things that you do every day so decide on your baseline and congratulate yourself for anything else that gets done. Good luck and take care of yourself.
