Can I find out.....

I am hoping to move into a rented flat soon and wondered if there was a way to find out who supplies the electricity to the flat before I (hopefully) move in without having to ask the landlord or letting agents?

  • Hi,

For the gas call the Meter Number Helpline on 0870 608 1524.

In order to find out who the electricity supplier is you will need to contact the local electricity board. If you tell me what region of Britain you live in I can get you a number for them as well :)

    Hi,

Here is a list of the numbers. You need to ask for MPAS when you get through. Just give them the address.

Make sure you tell them you are the customer moving in or they will refuse to help you.

They will tell you who your Supplier is. Ask them for your MPAN whilst you are on.

P.S. don't use the service on this site to request your MPAN, it will take ages and you won't have the details needed.
