                    Hi,
I recently received a letter from debt recovery plus, saying I owe £150 for parking in the gym and not inputting my car ref into the machine, that I am a member of. I received the letter in October even though the date of the PCN is June. I moved house last year and only changed my address with the dvla in July, so the original letters from Premier park were being sent to my old address.
I appealed to Premier park but I've had a reply to say that I am outside of the appeal window and my appeal cannot be considered. I've contacted the gym who say they can't intervene. I've tweeted Xercise4less and they gave me an email address for head office, I am waiting for a response.
My friend went to the gym and didn't I put her car reg into the machine a few months ago. When she received the notice she appealed within 28 days and charge was reduced to £10. She appealed again and the whole thing was dropped.
Where do I go from here?

As above. No need for threads about DRP letters we've all laughed at for a decade. Did you also not notice that post #4 of the NEWBIES FAQS thread deals with 'ignore the debt collector' stage?
No next step, no posts about each tedious template computerised letter, please. Not again.
Come back if they try a small claim which is the only time action would be needed to kill it once and for all. Don't ask whether that's likely, the NEWBIES thread even tells you how to find out with one Google search, the likelihood of any PPC suing.
And we win 99% of defended claim cases anyway. Do nothing, but do some reading.
Contact someone higher at the gym - guess what, they CAN intervene at any point.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

            Hi,

Where do I go from here?
1: For record purposes only, advise Premier Park of your new address as keeper of the vehicle
2: There are 1000's of posts on here, telling everyone to
 ignore DRP
DRP are debt collectors without portfolio, meaning they are
useless, meaningless, timewasting and above all POWERLESS
DRP continue to spout utter rubbish and their only aim
in life is to attempt to extort money from you.
In other words .... a very sad company with no clout
All they can do is pass it back to the PPC when they fail
 as they will with you
IGNORE THE SAD DRP, POWERLESS AND A JOKE.
If the PPC comes back to you (NOT THE DRP RUBBISH)
 then come back here0

            Thanks all!
If they come back to me I will post again.
Head office got back to me telling me to contact my local gym... Told them I already had and they wouldn't help! Customer service for you!0

Xerciseforless is the most prolific gym mentioned on the entire internet for being in bed with rapacious parking companies and seem quite content to allow the PPCs to harass and intimidate their customers, unmercilessly, without any preparedness to intervene. How proud can they be of such a low-life reputation?
They do not deserve loyal members. Leave in droves until they sort this scam out. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I had another letter from debt recovery plus saying they've seen my appeal and I still owe £150 as I was in breach of the rules etc... just ignored it for now, fingers crossed0

Any update on this? I am currently in the exact same position and was wondering whether ignoring worked for you?0

            Ignoring debt collectors always works.
But not ignoring a new PCN of course, as you will have seen when you read the sticky threads on the forum first. As per my signature (no link needed, you have it...).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
