Court papers SIP/ Gladstone “failure to display”

Hello all,
Just wondering if I could ask for some advice?
Some time back we got a Pcn of SIP, for failure to display. Had the usual letters escalating to action.
The ticket was purchased and displayed on the plastic cowling on the steering column, however these corrupted ticket inspectors have taken protracted angled photos to substantiate the claim there was no ticket there.
We have photos which clearly show the ticket from the drivers door being completely visible, and legible.
We have received the notice ‘Claim form’ today for court.. I’m so angry that I want to go all the way with this.. however just wanted to know if you lose do you automatically get a CCJ?
What would you do now to formulate a defence, would you go solicitor or do it yourself.
If anyone can offer further guidance I’d be extremely grateful..
Thanks

you only get a CCJ if you
fail in court
and dont pay the judgment IN FULL within 28 days
pay in full , promptly and there is no CCJ filed
a CCJ is effectively contempt of court , failure to pay the judgment in good time
now please read the newbies faq sticky thread , post #2 and defend it yourself0 -

The court is miles away from where I live, I assume this is a mechanism to deter you from challenging them..
If I win can I claim mileage and time off work..0 -
the court is actually the court nearest to you , not Northampton
clearly you failed to take my advice and did not read the NEWBIES FAQ post #2 or the BARGEPOLE walkthrough either
youy can claim up to about £95 in costs and time off work and parking fees if you win in court (your local court)
the CCBC in Northampton is not a court , its a government clearing office like the DVLA in Swansea0 -
Well yes of course, but you will know this when you've properly read the NEWBIES thread, understand that it is heard at YOUR local court (yawn, not Northampton), and you can even see an example 'costs schedule' claim there in post #2.
A poster the other day claimed £1500, yes £1500 in costs...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks,
I have briskly read through the sticky, but there’s a fair bit of information to get through so I apologise for you having to double bubble some info back to me..
Thanks
If you have paid for a ticket and failed to display what is usually the views of the court on this..
do they side with the claimant or defendant and if it’s one way or the other what is the reason..
(bearing in mind; that a valid ticket was paid for.)
Thanks..0 -

I'm afraid you're in a position where you're going to have to put in a fair bit of effort yourself. No-one is going to hand it all to you on a plate. If you show you're making the effort, by posting up your draft defence (which is not a straight copy/past of another one, but edited to suit your specific circumstances), then you'll get help in honing it to perfection.0 -

Sorry, but this isn’t a legal forum, we are here primarily to deal with helping with parking tickets at first base. More and more motorists are coming to us for help with court issues because of the rash of PPC claims over the past 18 months. The forum buckles some days with the sheer volume and with the questions being asked becoming more and more detailed and complicated. It is why the sticky thread was created where all the standard points are covered.
Expectations are increasingly out of proportion to what can be delivered by a handful of volunteer regulars. Once you’re through with your case, your experience will be very helpful to those who will go through a similar process in the future. You are very welcome to come back and help. The more of us fighting this blight on our country, the better. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It is a scam, but it is not an illigal scam (yet). If you do not want to be scammed you will have to put in the hours.
It is early days, but we have a cunning plan to fight back. It is based on your right to privacy wrt your data which is held by the DVLA. If it is found that the PPC has obtained your data without just cause, or misused it you can take them to court, and get damages of up to £750 plus costs, but, it is hard work and not for the idle. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

You only win if you have all the information to hand
So you are dealing with Gladstones who are known to
the courts as being incompetent, and, they are probably
the most incompetent solicitor in the UK, but they don't
seem to know it, hence the rubbish they pump out
Google is Gladstones worst enemy, oh dear who would use them
apart from scamming parking companies
Such a sad company who seem to survive on scamming people0
