Just went to my local high street and the Laura Ashley is closing down, as is another store nearby.
They have had a drop in profits due to the weak pound.
I hope they don't go bust as I don't think anyone else does what they do - reasonable quality though a bit pricey.
I got a whole bale of fabric (the fabric I wanted anyway for living room curtains) for £30..but when I have the money am happy to pay their full price. I suppose that's it, I never have enough money to pay their full price and a lot of people don't..
