Alarm (Accenta G4-LCD display Pad) 'Arming' problem

Hi all

I have a couple of properties that have identical Alarm systems installed. The System is an Accenta G4 (with a small LCD Screen/keypad at the entrance & a large panel hidden away in the pantry). I don't know if there is/was an installation problem with one of the Alarm systems but it won't seem to set. So, I had 2 identical alarms installed in 2 identical properties within the last 6 months.

House 1: On setting the Alarm we just input the user code and the exit tone starts to beep.
We then close the front door. We stand still opposite the panel and observe that the display does indeed Display: PROGRAM 1 SET on the screen and then the exit tone stops beeping and the words SYSTEM SET appear on the screen. This alarm is working well. EXACTLY AS THE MANUAL DESCRIBES.

House 2: We input the code and the exit tone starts to beep. However, the exit tone never stops beeping. My wife told me she set it once and the exit tone was still beeping ages later.

Both Alarms are brand new. Both have user guides and Engineers manuals with them.

Is there something silly I've missed? Like I say, I have all the manuals but I don't want to mess the Alarm up if I don't know what I'm doing.

Are there any lights on indicating zone fault? Are you trying to set it with an open fault? Are all the PIR covers closed? Have you checked the wiring of the tamper circuits?
