ktchen/living room flooring

Does anyone have any recomendations for flooring in a living room and kitchen - not open plan but lead into each other. Cant have tiles and am leaning towards solid wood. Have messy dogs and husband.
I either have the same in the kitchen and living room or solid wood in living room and a different flooring in the hall and kitchen.

An LVT product is perfect for dogs and messy husbands. I have all three.

Amtico and Karndean are the most well known brands but I think ours is LG Decotile; there's mFlor and Polyflor too, amongst others. They are cheaper - less branding - but still great products. You can have them to look like wood, or tile, all sorts.

We've been through every type of floor as a family and this is the hardest wearing.

Thank you for that. Its so difficult to choose! Ive been told I should have solid wood (people sniffy about anything else) but with dogs and a messy husband I can see disaster looming. I will have a look at LVT

People can be sniffy about having wood all they like. LVT is often more expensive than the wood that most people put in their houses. I'd defy anyone to be sniffy about Amtico - doesn't mean I'd put the brand in my house if others do the same product for less, but you can always tell the sniffy people that it's the super expensive brand :rotfl:

The product is excellent, wears well and looks good both initially AND in the long term, which is far better for you than appeasing friends with little sensibility.
