Why was my payment code different?

Normally my payments go through as (with my NI number) as


DWP EESA



But this one came through as



DWPGB -FP FUNDING DWP JSA


Yes I know to ask DWP tomorrow just wondered if there was any reason people here knew of, for one its strange it came through as a "JSA" payment when I get ESA but is there something to be suspicious of?


FP I assume is faster payments.

I know that JSA and ESA payments come from the same DWP computer system so I don't expect it will be anything to worry about.

If the amount is that same as usual...nothing to be concerned about...

All Faster Payments have to be labelled JSA.

If you want to enquire about the amount, feel free to phone and ask them.

No need to ring them. Its a faster payment and esa use jsa's computer system but its still an esa payment. Its because your normal bacs payment wasn't paid for some reason so they've paid it manually because you were due or overdue.
